Ceramic tile floors are exceedingly easier to maintain and don't require much attention while keeping their shine, colour, and texture intact for a long period. Lexura suggests the consumers practice the initial cleaning for better maintenance of ceramic products and tiles.<\/p>

  • It is recommended to remove the coarse stains, dust, and dirt accumulated on the ceramic or porcelain surface using a mop or a vacuum cleaner.<\/li>
  • For cleaning the stains or dust on the surface of a floor, it is advisable to wet the floor using fresh and clean water to drench the floor and to protect the intersections in counter to the eroding act of the cleansing agent or detergent; finally, apply a best suited acidic detergent on a clean cloth or a single-brush machine and then mop the area or wipe the floor or the stained area.<\/li>
  • The porcelain or ceramic surfaces can be cleaned by carefully rinsing the surface of the tile with pure and warm water to reduce the harsh nature of the detergent.<\/li>
  • It is recommended to get rid of build-up dirt and dust spots and specks by scrubbing it from the surface of the tiles.<\/li>

    Lexura promotes awareness regarding the routine maintenance of the ceramic and porcelain products to retain their enamel, shine, texture, finishes, and colour for a long period.
    \u2013 To practice the routine maintenance, one should tidy up or clean the floors, walls, slabs, tiles frequently and mop them as per the requirement.
    \u2013 The grouts of the floors and walls must be cleaned once in a while for maintaining them well and retaining their colours.<\/p>

    Polished And Glossy Surfaces<\/h5>

    Polished and glossy porcelain and ceramic tiles are considered to be one of the trouble-free flooring materials to maintain and clean. They are adept with impermeable glaze onto the surface of the tiles and are highly resistant to oil, chemicals, water, germs, microbes, dust, dirt, and even germs.<\/p>

    To follow routine maintenance for polished and glossy porcelain and ceramic tiles, follow the instructions:<\/p>

    • Mop the surface or use a vacuum cleaner to clean the dirt and dust from the surface of the floor. Use a mopping brush with soft bristles or soft cloth to clean the dry dust instead of using brooms with hard bristles.<\/li>
    • Mop the surface of the floor with a mild cleaning solution to clean the stains or wet spots present on the surface of the floor. Use a milder cleansing agent to clean the wet spots or stain while mopping the floor instead of using the wax or oil-based abrasive cleansing agents.<\/li>
    • Wash the tiles using clean and fresh water to rinse off any dirt or dust particles.<\/li>
    • Dry the wet tiles using a fresh, clean, and dry cloth to build-up the shine and lustre of the tiles and to avoid the water spots on the tiles.<\/li><\/ul>
      Hardwood Surface<\/h5>

      Hardwood tiles or surfaces such as steps, raisers, and flooring require a bit more attention in routine maintenance as woods tend to be affected quickly by sunlight and climate change. If they are exposed to natural and non-natural light sources, the growth of some tropical species may darken or may lighten their surfaces thus may cause a loss in the shine and texture of hardwood surface.<\/p>

      To follow routine maintenance for hardwood tiles and surfaces, follow the instructions:<\/p>

      • Immediately use a clean and damp cloth to clean and clear the wooden surface if there is a water spill. Never leave the water spill unattended on the hardwood surface as it may lighten or darken the surface of the hardwood and may affect the texture and gloss.<\/li>
      • Apply a cleansing agent with 10% of acetone concentration on a dry and clean piece of cloth and then wipe the area with stains and tough spots caused by tar, oil, ink, paint, markers, or dye.<\/li>
      • Clean the floor at a regular interval of time or daily using a soft cloth or vacuum cleaner.<\/li>
      • Avoid washing or mopping the wet hardwood surface floor with a liquid cleansing agent or with any soap-based, water-based, oil-soap based cleansing agent or detergent. As using a liquid-based cleansing agent may harm the texture and may reduce the durability of the hardwood surface.<\/li>
